4-1 FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2019-20
Eastern is 4-1 for the first time since head coach Derek Perkins' first season (2019-20). That season, the Eagles finished third at the MAC Championships with 485 points. The meet against Ohio holds the opportunity for the Eagles to get off to a 5-1 start in duals and 3-0 in conference competition for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign, when the Eagles went a perfect 8-0 in the regular season (4-0 in conference) before finishing second at the MAC Championships (583 points).

ALL-TIME AGAINST OHIO
The Eagles and Bobcats will meet in the pool for the 38th time this weekend. Overall, the Bobcats have control of the all-time series as the Eagles hold a 12-25 record against OU and a 5-13 record when facing it in Athens. Eastern last beat Ohio in the 2018-19 season, Nov. 3, as it won nine events en route to a 190-110 victory, marking its 15th consecutive conference dual meet win. It's been nine years since the Eagles beat the Bobcats in Athens, as they last did so in the 2016-17 season, Oct. 26, winning, 178-122 to open MAC competition 1-0.
