YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Five Eastern Michigan University pitchers earned 12 strikeouts, but the Eagles fell to the Miami University RedHawks, 21-2, Saturday, April 8.
Senior Nick Chittum (Grosse Ile, Mich.-Grosse Ile.) (1-3) started and took the loss on the mound for Eastern Michigan (12-15).

How it Happened

The Eagles deficit expanded to 21-1 before their offense got back on the scoreboard, cutting into the Miami lead in the ninth inning. Freshman Cooper Vance (New Waterford, Ohio.-Mohawk) came across to score the lone run of the inning for Eastern Michigan, which tightened the RedHawks lead to 21-2. The Eagles were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
