55-game regular season begins Feb. 13, features eight power-conference games, three 2025 NCAA Tournament Teams

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University Baseball Interim Head Coach Trevor Beerman announced the Eagles' 2026 schedule Tuesday, Dec. 9. 
 
Beginning Feb. 13, 2026, Eastern will embark on a 55-game campaign where it will play 32 road contests and 23 home games, which will take place at Oestrike Stadium in Ypsilanti, Mich. Admission is free for all EMU baseball home contests and fans can tune in live on ESPN+. 
 
The Eagles will compete in eight power-conference games as it is scheduled to face three 2025 NCAA Tournament teams. Eastern will compete in six different states including Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee. Outside of its Mid-American Conference opponents, Eastern will face teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Atlantic Sun Conference, Big Ten Conference, the Horizon League, the Ohio Valley Conference, and the Southeastern Conference. 

Outside of a 12 p.m. first pitch against Washington, April 28, Eastern's home midweek, Friday, and Saturday games will begin at 3 p.m., while Sunday games will start at 1 p.m. Start times are subject to change. 
 
The Eagles will first take the field on NCAA Division I Opening Day and start their 16-game early-season road trip with a three-game series in Arkansas, where they will take on the Little Rock Trojans, Feb. 13-15.
 
Eastern's first power-conference matchup follows as it will travel to Nashville, Tenn., to face the Commodores of Vanderbilt in a two-game set at Hawkins Field, Feb. 17-18. The series will mark the Eagles' second time meeting Vanderbilt, all of which have occurred in the previous three seasons. One of the country's premiere programs, Vanderbilt hosted an NCAA Regional last season. 
 
The Eagles will continue their run in Tennessee, Feb. 20-22, for a three-game series against Austin Peay, which finished the 2025 season with a record of 45-14, including a 26-4 mark in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
 
Five days later, Eastern will head to Edwardsville, Ill., to face the Cougars of SIUE in a four-game set, Feb. 27 - March 1. The series features Eastern's only scheduled doubleheader as the Eagles and Cougars will play two games, Feb. 28. 
 
After the series in Illinois, Eastern will head to South Bend, Ind., to take on the Fighting Irish for the second consecutive season, March 3. 
 
After a short break, MACtion will be in full effect as the Eagles begin conference play at the reigning MAC Tournament Champion, Miami, March 6-8. The Eagles and RedHawks will play a three-game series at Hayden Park.
 
Three days later, Eastern will return home to host in-state rival, Michigan State, to open the home portion of the season, March 11. The matchup with the Spartans marks the second time in three seasons the Eagles will host an in-state power-conference foe to begin the home season. EMU previously welcomed Michigan to Oestrike Stadium for the 2024 home opener, a game EMU won via the run rule, 14-4. 
 
Eastern hits the road two days later to Muncie, Ind., for a three-game series against Ball State, March 13-15.
 
The Eagles will next host Oakland, March 17, in a home-and-home series, as it will travel to Rochester, Mich., the following day, March 18, to conclude the set.
 
EMU resumes conference play with a three-game home series against Akron, March 20-22, beginning a season-long eight-game home stretch.
 
Two days later, the Eagles will begin a home-and-home set with Youngstown State, facing the Penguins for the sixth time in program history as EMU will play host to YSU, March 24. EMU is currently 1-1 at home in the all-time series, coming off a 14-4 run-ruling home victory last season, April 22, 2025.
 
Finishing up the eight-game home stretch, the Eagles host their in-state conference rival, Central Michigan, March 27-29.
 
EMU will face Michigan in a home-and-home series for the Battle of Washtenaw County, March 31. The Eagles host the Wolverines at Oestrike Stadium for the first of two games this season, concluding the home stand.
 
Following the game against the Wolverines, Eastern returns to conference play for a three-game set at Toledo to start the month of April, April 2-4. 
 
Next, The Eagles return home to take on MAC newcomer, UMass, for a three-game set, marking the first time the two programs will face off, April 10-12. 
 
EMU will then make the 6.5 mile trip west to Ann Arbor, Mich., to take on Michigan and complete the Battle of Washtenaw County, April 15. Eastern won the last contest at Michigan in a nail-biting 9-8 decision, Mar. 25, 2025. 
 
Another rivalry series follows the game against Michigan as Eastern stays home to face the Western Michigan Broncos in a three-game set, April 17-19.
 
The Eagles then leave the state of Michigan to take on the Huskies of Northern Illinois at Ralph McKinzie Field, April 24-26. The series will mark the final conference set between the two institutions as NIU baseball will depart for the Horizon League in the 2027 season.
 
EMU closes out April with a non-conference contest against the Big Ten Conference's Washington Huskies at Oestrike Stadium, April 28. The game will mark the first meeting between the two programs.
 
Continuing the home stretch, the Eagles welcome Bowling Green in a return to conference play to start the month of May, May 1-3. 
 
Beginning a five-game stretch of away games, Eastern travels to Youngstown, Ohio, to complete the home-and-home series against the Penguins, May 6.
 
The Eagles play their final road conference series of the season in Kent, Ohio, facing the Golden Flashes of Kent State in a three-game series, May 8-10.
 
EMU then will head north for its regular season non-conference finale, a battle against the Spartans of Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich., May 12. 
 
Eastern's regular season concludes at home against the Ohio Bobcats, May 14-16.
 
Eastern needs to finish in the top six in the MAC to qualify for the 2026 MAC Baseball Championship, held at Crushers Stadium in Avon, Ohio. The Eagles will look to make back-to-back MAC Tournament appearances for the first time since the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Should the Eagles win the tournament, they will advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2008 campaign.
