HOLLAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team shaved 15 strokes off its opening round tally Saturday, April 23, at the 2022 Mid-American Conference Championships at Stone Oak Country Club. The Eagles carded a second round 315 following Friday's total of 330. Overall, the squad remains in eighth with a 645 on the par-72, 6,158-yard setup.
Kent State is at the top of the team leaderboard with a 14-over par 590, 13 strokes in front of second-place Northern Illinois. The Huskies' Jasmine Ly is leading all individuals at two-under par (69-73=142) and is one shot ahead of the Golden Flashes' Emily Price (70-73=143).
How It Happened
Sophomore Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) again led the way for the Green and White with a score of 157 (78-78). Watson is tied for 19th after posting a strong front side that featured a birdie on the third hole.
Freshman Kyleigh Dull (Fremont, Ohio-Lakota) and junior Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit) are tied for 30th with a 163. Loberg carded the best round of the day for the Green and White, including tossing up a red number on the final hole of her round for a 77. Meanwhile, Dull responded after a +4 front side, to finish her day with a 78 and a birdie on the par three, 16th hole.
Sophomore Sophia Wygonik (Westland, Mich.-Livonia Franklin) resides in a tie for 34th with a 164 (82-82), while freshman Alyssa DiMarcantonio (Maple, Ontario-Tommy Douglas Secondary School) is tied for 45th with a 169 (84-85).

The third and final round of the tournament will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m. EMU will be paired with Central Michigan off No. 10 beginning at 10:20 a.m. ESPN3 will provide coverage of the round beginning at 12 p.m.
