MUNCIE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team lost on the road to Ball State University, 196.325-192.600, Sunday, Feb. 20.
How It Happened
Starting the meet on bars, Eastern was led by sophomore Raisa Boris (Brooklyn Park, Minn.-Park Center) who tied her career-high of 9.875 to tie for first. EMU finished the first rotation trailing Ball State, 48.750-48.875.
Moving to the second rotation, senior Cali Harden (Superior Twp., Mich.-Saline) topped the vault lineup, scoring 9.775 to earn fourth. EMU found itself down 96.900-97.975 at the halfway point of the meet.
On floor, junior Molly Parris (Hudson, Ohio-Hudson) led the Eagles in the event, earning a score of 9.800 as the Green and White totaled 48.600. Eastern fell behind the Cardinals 145.350-146.925.
Closing out the meet on beam, senior Shannon Gregory (Edison, N.J.-John P. Stevens) scored a season-high 9.800, earning third place in the event. Eastern Michigan fell 192.500-196.325.
Parris finished third in the all-around competition with a meet total of 38.950, while Boris was fourth, scoring 37.925.
