Cripps, McNeill Selected to United Soccer Coaches Midwest All-Region Team

McNeill becomes the first three-time United Soccer Coaches All-Region honoree in program history
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (EMUEagles.com) - The United Soccer Coaches announced that Eastern Michigan University soccer sophomore Amanda Cripps (Bradford, Ontario-Trinity Catholic) and redshirt senior Sabrina McNeill (Whitby, Ontario-Henry Street) were named to the All-Midwest Region Second Team today, May 13.
The honor marks the third-straight all-region recognition for McNeill, becoming the first player in program history to collect the accolade in three consecutive seasons. This is the first national recognition for Cripps in her young career, who just completed her sophomore season with the Eagles. Moreover, this is the first time since the 2013 season EMU has had multiple players named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team, when Angela Vultaggio and Emily Dzik garnered third team honors.
A First Team All-Mid-American Conference selection, McNeill led the Eagles with seven goals and one assist for 15 total points on the season. The redshirt senior was also named the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week twice, March 17 and 23. The Whitby, Ontario native finishes her EMU career ranking fourth all-time on the program's career points list (67). Her 27 career goals also rank fourth on the all-time goals scored list.
Also earning First Team All-MAC honors, Cripps scored three goals as the team's second-leading scorer during the spring 2021 season, as well as added one assist while starting all nine games for the Green and White.
Eastern Michigan finished the season with a 6-3 mark, finishing tied for second in the MAC West and fourth overall in the conference.
