LINCOLN, Neb. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team will participate in the Git-R-Done Husker Invitational Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18.
The two-day event takes place at Firethorn Golf Club, with the course playing 7040 yards and is a par-71. The contest will consist of 54 holes strokes play, with the cumulative total of the four best scores, out of five per round. Round 1 will begin on Saturday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Pairings will be based on Golfstat.
The Eagles will be joined at the invitational by Nebraska (host), Kansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Michigan State, Minnesota, Oral Roberts, Wyoming, and UMKC.
Head Coach Bruce Cunningham's lineup for the weekend will be senior Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary), senior Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St. Joseph's Catholic), freshman Marcus Smith (Rockford, Ill.-Winnebago), redshirt junior Zack Mason (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Blyth Academy Lawrence Park), and senior Tyler Raymond (Otsego, Mich.-Otsego). Freshman Patrick Deardorff (Clarkston, Mich.-Clarkston) will compete individually as well.
