The Eagles will continue their weekend at the Denison Invitational tomorrow, Dec. 3, starting at 10 a.m. ET.

GRANVILLE, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving program opened the first day of the Denison Invitational with 11 top-five finishes.
Freshman Kiersten Russell (Clinton, Mich.-Saline) finished second in the 500-yard free preliminaries with a time of 4:57.41, while teammate Sav Mouat (Tecumseh, Ontario-All Saints) followed right behind her, coming in third with a time of 4:57.46.
In the 200-yard individual medley preliminary, freshman Abby Szadorski (Oswego, Ill.-Oswego East) placed third with a time of 2:05.56. Sophomore Carlin Hudson (Chattanooga, Tenn.-Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences) finished fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:05.72.
In the evening session, Mouat finished second in the 500-yard free final with a time of 4:51.96. Fellow teammate Russell placed fifth with a time of 4:59.41 in the same event.
Szadorski returned for the evening and placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley final with a time of 2:05.85. Hudson placed sixth, 2:07.05, in the same event.
Sophomore Lainie Bell (Atlanta, Ga.-Druid Hills (Northern Arizona)) finished second in the 50-yard free finals with a mark of 23.45.
