MAC Releases 2019 Preseason Coaches Poll

Eagles received 72 votes from the league's head coaches

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University soccer team has been picked to finish seventh in the Mid-American Conference, according to the 2019 preseason coaches poll released by the conference office Monday, Aug. 19.

Bowling Green was selected to repeat as regular season and tournament champions, collecting 139 total votes and six of the 12 tournament champion votes.

The Eagles return top scorers Kristin Hullibarger (Brooklin, Ontario-Donald A. Wilson), who led the Green and White with eight goals and 21 points, and Sabrina McNeill (Whitby, Ontatio-Henry Street), who tallied seven goals and a team-high six assists during the 2018 season.

Eastern Michigan opens the season this Thursday, Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. at Scicluna Field as they host the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies.
