Top-25 Players in EMU Soccer History: Part II

Top-25 Releases: Week One
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — In celebration of the 25th year of the Eastern Michigan University soccer program, the EMU department of athletics is unveiling the best 25 players to represent EMU. Each week groups of five players will be announced in chronological order based on when they donned the Green and White. Below is a list of the five players that make up this week's group. This week's group consists of Courtney Sindelar, Jessica Hupe, Heather Pedersen, Michele Lawrence, and Trisha Roberts.
Sindelar, a two-time Academic All-MAC selection, landed on the All-MAC Second Team in 2002. During her time donning the Green and White she held two four-match point streaks, the first of which ran Oct. 10-22, 1999, while the second came Oct. 8-20, 2000. Amid her second four-match point streak, Sindelar notched a brace and two assists against Northern Illinois, Oct. 13, 2000. She also tallied a pair of helpers against Stony Brook, Sept. 1, 2002. Overall, she ranks fifth all-time with 19 career assists and 12th in program history with 15 career goals.
An E-Club Hall of Famer, Hupe started four seasons at forward for the Eagles in the early 2000's. A two-time All-MAC First Team honoree, Hupe was also named to the MAC All-Tournament Team and All-MAC Second Team in 2001. She was named to the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Third Team in 2001 before earning second team distinction in 2004. Overall, Hupe helped the Green and White to a 29-16-3 MAC record in her four years on the team and etched her name into the EMU record books. She set the single season records for goals (17) and points (39) in 2002, and is also the career record holder for goals (49) and points (117). Meanwhile, her 21 career assists are third-most all-time. A two-time Academic All-MAC selection, Hupe's play on the pitch was match by her excellence in the classroom as she went on to garner ESPN the Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team honors in addition to being named to the Verizon All-Academic District IV Second Team twice.
A native of West Bloomfield, Mich., Pedersen is one of the best defenders to ever don the Green and White. A two-time First Team All-MAC awardwinner, Pedersen was also named to the NSCAA All-Region Third Team in 2001. Behind her stout play on the backline, Eastern posted 13 shutouts throughout her two-year career. On the offensive end, Pedersen chipped in a goal and five assists.
Lawrence represented Eastern Michigan from 2001-05. A First Team All-MAC honoree in 2005, she also landed on the MAC All-Tournament Team in 2001. Lawrence is one of five players in program history to record a hat trick, doing so against Buffalo, Sept. 30, 2005. Additionally, her six-point effort against the Bulls is ranked tied for second-most in single game history. She tallied 10 goals in 2005, the 10th-most in single season laurels, while her 24 points that year are slotted ninth all-time. For her career, Lawrence ranks eighth with 51 points, ninth with 19 goals, and 10th with 13 helpers. An Academic All-MAC selection, she was named to CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District as a senior.
A two-time Second Team All-MAC awardwinner, Roberts also garnered Academic All-MAC honors. Donning the Green and White from 2002-2005, she scored nine goals and added one assist as a midfielder throughout her career. Moreover, four of her nine goals proved to be game-winners.
