HILLSDALE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Redshirt freshman Ian Cook (Worthington, Ohio-Thomas Worthington) and freshman Joseph Ingram (Cincinnati, Ohio-Anderson) represented the Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team at the Hillsdale "GINA" Relays hosted by Hillsdale College Thursday, April 25.
Both Eagles recorded personal-best efforts in their lone runs of the day, competing in the 5000m event. Ingram led the way with a 20th-place finish, recording a time of 15:12.45. Cook crossed the finish line in 16:03.94, good for 86th overall.
The Eagles continue competition at the Hillsdale "GINA" Relays Friday, April 26, with field events scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. EMU will send student-athletes to compete in the 800m and 3000m steeplechase, starting at 4:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., respectively. The Green and White will also participate in the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus, Ohio, set to begin at 2 p.m with the hammer throw. Live results for the "GINA" relays will be available here, while results for the Jesse Owens Classic will be available here.
