Best and Roberts Announce 2025-26 Track & Field Schedules

The Eagles will compete in a total of 28 meets this season

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University track and field Co-Directors Chris Best and Sterling Roberts announced the program's schedule for the 2025-26 season, Monday, Nov. 24.
The Green and White will compete in 12 meets in the indoor season and 16 meets in the outdoor season. The teams will travel across 10 different states throughout the two seasons.
The Eagles will begin their season with the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open in Allendale, Mich., Dec. 5.
The remainder of the indoor season will resume in 2026, with the first meet back being the Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., Jan. 10. The following weekend, the Eagles will travel back to Ann Arbor for the Simmons-Harvey Invitational, Jan. 17.
Eastern's only home meet of the season will be the third annual Bob Parks Memorial meet, held at Bowen Field House, Jan. 24.
The weekend of Jan. 30-31, the team will travel to two separate meets. One squad will travel to University Center, Mich., to compete in Saginaw Valley State's Jets Pizza Invitational, while another squad will travel to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
The Eagles travel back to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the Michigan Invitational, Feb. 7. The following weekend will be another instance where the teams will send athletes to two different meets. One squad will travel back to Allendale, Mich., for the Grand Valley State University Big Meet, Feb. 13, while a second squad will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., for the Heartland Invitational, held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Feb. 13-14.
The indoor regular season will conclude Feb. 20, when the teams compete in the Silverston Invitational, hosted by Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The Mid-American Conference (MAC) Indoor Championships will be hosted by Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Mich., Feb. 27-28. The Eagles will look to advance to the NCAA Indoor Championships, March 13-14, hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.
Eastern begins its outdoor season at two separate meets, sending one squad to the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C., March 26-28, and the other squad to the University of Miami's Hurricane Collegiate Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla., March 27-28.
The following weekend, the teams will have a set of meets, as they will compete in the Spartan Invitational, hosted by Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich., April 3, along with the Golden Grizzlies Invitational hosted by Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., April 4.
Next, the Green and White will travel to Athens, Ga., to compete in the Spec Towns Invitational, hosted by the University of Georgia, April 9-11.
The Eagles will then send athletes to three separate meets, with one squad traveling to Winston Salem, N.C., to compete in the Wake Forest Invitational, April 16-17. Another squad will travel to Hillsdale, Mich., to compete in the Hillsdale Gina Relays, hosted by Hillsdale College, April 16-17, while the third squad will travel to Azusa, Calif., to compete in Azusa Pacific University's Bryan Clay Invitational, April 16-18.
The following weekend, one squad will return to Hillsdale, Mich., for the Hillsdale College Tune-Up, April 24-25, while another squad will travel to Louisville, Ky., to compete in the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational, April 24-25.
Eastern next will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to compete in Ohio State's Jesse Owens Invitational, May 1-2, followed by two more meets to conclude the regular season, the first in Hillsdale Mich., for the Hillsdale Last Chance meet, May 6, and the second in Ann Arbor, Mich., for Michigan's Len Paddock Open, May 8.
Postseason competition begins in Muncie, Ind., as Ball State University will host the MAC Outdoor Championships, May 14-16.
Next the Eagles will travel to Lexington, Ky., for the NCAA East Prelims, hosted by the University of Kentucky, May 27-30, followed by the season conclusion at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, hosted by the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore., June 10-13.
More details such as start times, entries, and facilities will be made available closer to the beginning of each respective meet.
