Day Two of MAC Women's Golf Championships Suspended

Teams will continue play with day three on Sunday, April 21
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) - Due to heavy rain and unplayable course conditions at Purgatory Golf Club, day two of the 2019 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championship has been cancelled. Teams will continue play with day three on Sunday, April 21, beginning at either 10 or 11 a.m. depending on course conditions.
The University of Toledo led the pack after the first round of play after registering a first-round total of 303 (+15). No. 10 ranked Kent State University is in second with a 305 followed by Northern Illinois University (310), the University of Akron (317), and Ohio University (321). Eastern Michigan University (324), Ball State University (324), Bowling Green State University (328), Central Michigan University (329), and Western Michigan University (333) rounded out the leaderboard.
With tough-scoring conditions, sophomore Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International) led EMU with an 80 in a tie for 20th. Juniors Katelin Lawson (LaSalle, Ontario-Ridge Community-Tampa) and Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne) added an 81 for 23rd, while classmate Julia Stevenson (Milford, Mich.-Milford) posted an 82. In her MAC Championship debut, freshman Green Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School) tallied an 83 to tie for 34th-place.
