Trio of Eagles Compete at Hillsdale Tune Up

All Eagles Earned Top-3 Finishes

HILLSDALE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Three members of the Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team traveled to the Hillsdale Tune Up, Saturday, Feb. 16, held inside Margot V. Biermann Center on the campus of Hillsdale College. Sophomores Taige Bryant (Edmond, Okla.-Edmond Memorial) and Newlyn Stephenson (Gary, Ind.-Thea Bowman Leadership Academy), along with senior Alex Jacobs (Dublin, Ohio- Dublin Jerome) each earned podium finishes in their respective performances.
Stephenson earned the Green and White's top finish of the day, earning the Weight Throw event title with a heave clearing 18.87m. Collecting second place in the event was Bryant, as his weight throw effort traveled 18.69m. Jacobs recorded a third place finish with his pole vault effort, clearing 4.88m.
