Rockets scored five second-half goals for the win
The Eagles and Rockets looked even for the first 42 minutes. Both sides were able to get three shots off while also staying equal in possession time.
With three minutes remaining in the first half, Toledo scored to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Following the break, the Rockets wasted no time, finding the back of the net for the second time just over 20 seconds into the second half. Toledo added one more goal in the 57th minute to take a 3-0 lead before the Green and White could respond.
The lone Eagles goal of the night came in the 63rd minute, when redshirt senior Kristin Hullibarger (Brooklin, Ontario-Donald A. Wilson) found her way into the box and shot the ball past the Rockets' keeper to make the score 3-1.
Toledo controlled the game from then on, adding three more goals to make the final score 6-1.
Redshirt junior Mabel Dunn (Oakville, Ontario-White Oaks Secondary) recorded six saves in 90 minutes.
The Eagles return to Scicluna Field to host Bowling Green Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.
