LAKE FOREST, Ill. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team continues its season at the Windon Memorial Classic Sunday-Monday, Sept. 23-24, on the Knollwood Club Golf Course in Lake Forest, Ill.
The teams will play two rounds on Sunday and one on Monday. First round shotgun start will begin at 8:45 a.m. CT with the second round to follow. Third round tee times will begin at 8 a.m.
The field features highly-ranked squads, including Army, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Iowa State, Marquette, Memphis, Michigan, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, South Florida, Southern Illinois, UC Davis, UCLA, and UNCG.
Knollwood Club is a par 72 and plays at 7,202 yards. The Eagles played in the tournament last year, finishing in 10th-place with an 861 (219-218-214). Top performers for the team were Zach Sudinsky (McKinney, Texas-Boyd-Stephen F. Austin) and Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary), who both ended the tournament tied for 23rd.
Scheduled to compete for the Green and White is senior Beau Breault (Hartland, Mich.-Hartland), sophomore Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph's Catholic), Sudinsky, sophomore Tyler Rayman (Ostego, Mich.-Ostego), and Collins.
