Men's Golf to Open Season at the EKU Intercollegiate

RICHMOND, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team gets its fall season underway Saturday, Sept. 15, at the EKU Intercollegiate sponsored by Raising Cane's on the University Club at Arlington. The first and second rounds will be played on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with the final round to be held Sunday, Sept. 16, at 9 a.m.
The University Club at Arlington is a par 70 and plays at 6,623 yards. The last time the Eagles played in the tournament was in 2016, when the squad finished fourth as a team with an 850 (291-280-279). Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary) led the way for the Eagles, tallying a third-round 68, or a three-day total of 209 in a tie for sixth.
The 15 teams competing in this year's intercollegiate are California Baptist, Cleveland State, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Evansville,Longwood, Marshall, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, SIU Edwardsville, and UT Martin.
Scheduled to compete for the Green and White are senior Beau Breault (Hartland, Mich.-Hartland), sophomore Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph's Catholic), sophomore Tyler Rayman (Ostego, Mich.-Ostego), sophomore Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary), and junior Zach Sudinsky (McKinney, Texas-Boyd-Stephen F. Austin). Playing as individuals will be sophomore Tony Fuentes (East Lansing, Mich.-East Lansing) and redshirt freshman Zack Mason (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Blyth Academy Lawrence Park).
