Eagles Complete Day One of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team had a trio of distance runners compete in day one of the Penn Relays Thursday, April 26, in Philadelphia, Pa.

EMU's best performance of the day came courtesy of redshirt senior Nick Raymond (Erie, Mich.-Erie), who placed 12th in the 5000m run with an impressive personal-record of 14:14.00. Coming in at 22nd in the tough pool of competition was redshirt senior Lahsene Bouchikhi (Antwerp, Belgium- Stedelijk Lyceum Paardenmarkt Luchthaven), who finished with a time of 14:19.58.

In the 10000m run, sophomore Austin Wicker (Pinckney, Mich.-Pinckney) raced to a time of 30:42.03, placing 10th.

Action in both the Hillsdale and Penn Relays will get started at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.
