The Eagles posted seven career-best times
COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team completed competition at the Ohio State Winter Invitational Sunday, Feb. 11. The Eagles posted four top-15 finishes on seven career-best times.
In the 200 freestyle, freshmen Gus Maxwell (Crawfordsville, Ind.-North Montgomery) and Wilson Burton (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) both posted career-best times in the preliminaries before locking up sixth and 10th-place, respectively, in the finals.
Redshirt junior Max Wilkinson (South Lyon, Mich.-South Lyon) won the 'B" finals in the 50 free with a career-best time of 20.95, while Burton turned in a time of 21.76, good for 16th-place.
In the 200 fly, senior Josh Kreider (Coopersburg, Pa.-Southern Lehigh) had a sixth-place finish with a career-best time of 1:52.97.
The Eagles return to the pool next weekend when they travel down the road to participate in the Michigan 1st Chance Meet, Saturday-Sunday Feb 17-18.
