Nason Adds Google Cloud Academic All-America® Honors to Resume

Nason is just the fifth Eagle to earn the honor in program history
AUSTIN, Texas (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University redshirt junior Kristin Nason (Brooklin, Ontario-Donald A. Wilson) added yet another award to her fantastic season for the EMU soccer team Thursday, Dec. 6, as the striker was named a Google Cloud Academic All-America® Third Team honoree selected by the College Sports Information Directors of Amierca (CoSIDA).
Nason is the first Eagle to be named to a CoSIDA Academic All-America team since 2014, and just the fifth all-time, joining Emily Dzik, Stephanie Clarke, Amanda Kulikowski, and Tracy Deeter. She is one of 26 student-athletes named to the 34-member Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division I women's soccer teams to sport a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Currently pursuing her master's degree in sport management, Nason earned her bachelor's degree this past April. On the pitch, the Second Team All-Mid-American Conference selection led Eastern Michigan in goals with a career-high eight goals, while also tacking on a career-best five assists. Her team-leading 21 points were also tied for seventh-most in the league. Nason finished the season slotted tied for fourth in shots on goal, tied for sixth in goals, and eighth in shots.
The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
