NCAA East Regional Day Three Results

LEXINGTON, KY. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team concluded the NCAA East Regional today, May 27, with two more competitors in Lexington, Ky. The competition wrapped up with one EMU distance runner, and one jumper taking part in his second event of the meet.

In the 5000m, redshirt junior Lahsene Bouchikhi (Antwerp, Belgium - Stedelijk Lyceum Paardenmarkt Luchthaven) made his regionals debut. Bouchikhi competed in the second heat, finishing 14th in 14:29.24, which put him 21st overall.  In fact, the Antwerp, Belgium native was just 10 seconds out from finishing in the top-15.

The Eagles also had a representative in the high jump, as sophomore Cameron Hart (Columbus, Ohio – Bishop Hartley) wrapped up his second event of the NCAA East Regional. Hart finished 13th in the first flight, posting a mark of 2.05 meters/ 6 feet 8.75-inches, which was good for 29th overall. His jump was also just short of his season-best by .03 meters.

This marks the conclusion of the NCAA East Regional, with the season wrapping up in two weeks at the NCAA Championships, June 7-10, in Eugene, Oregon.
