Eastern Michigan sits in a tie with Akron for ninth-place as a team

COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team is currently tied with the University of Akron in ninth-place Saturday, April 22, at the Ohio State University's Robert Kepler Intercollegiate on the par-71, 7,455-yard Scarlet Course.
After the first two rounds of action, EMU shot a 616 (306-310) as a team, while No. 12 Kent State leads the 15-team field with a 579 (294-285). No. 10 Illinois sits in second overall with a 580 (298-282) and Iowa rounds out the top three, shooting a 593 (300-293).
Senior Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) led the Green and White with a 149 (72-77) tying for 17th overall, while senior Jared Multer (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview-Grand Rapids C.C.) shot a 153 (79-74) for 35th.
Sophomore Beau Breault (Hartland, Mich.-Hartland) and junior Tyler Lewis (Ortonville, Mich.-Brandon-Mott CC) carded identical totals of 160 for 63rd. a 160 (79-76). Junior Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary) added a 163 (85-78) for 76th-place in the field.
The Eagles will be back in action Sunday, April 23, to conclude the final round of the three-round event.
