Men’s Golf Returns to the Valley of the Sun for GCU Invite

PHOENIX, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team resumes its spring schedule this weekend, March 17-18, as it returns to Arizona for the GCU Invitational at the Grand Canyon University Golf Course. The tournament will be played on the par 72, 7,269-yard GCU Golf Course.
The Eagles will compete in a field of 14 programs that includes: Columbia, CSU Bakersfield, Duke, Grand Canyon, Indiana, Loyola Marymount, Northern Illinois, Omaha, South Dakota, Southern Utah, UMKC, Utah Valley, and Wichita State.
Teams will play 36 holes on Friday with 18 more on Saturday with shotgun starts each day.
Competing for EMU will be Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth), Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary), Philippe Weppernig (Lucerne, Switzerland-Kantonsschule Alpenquai Luzern-Owens C.C.), Jared Multer (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview-Grand Rapids C.C.), and Beau Breault (Howell, Mich.-Hartland).
