OLEAN, N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) - Looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season, the Eastern Michigan Univeristy women's basketball team continues its month-long road trip Saturday, Nov. 18, against St. Bonaventure University. Tipoff from the Reilly Center is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
EMU (2-1) enters the matinee on the heels of a 77-65 setback at the hands of Cleveland State, Nov. 16. The Bonnies host the Eagles looking to get back in the win column after dropping their last two games. Most recently, St. Bonaventure fell to Canisius, 71-69, in overtime, Nov. 15.
Fans can follow the game via Twitter, as it will be live tweeted from the team's account, @EMUWBB. Additionally, the game will be broadcast on Atlantic 10 Network.
BATTLING THE BONNIES: Eastern Michigan and St. Bonaventure will square off against one another on the hardwood for just the third time in the history of the programs Saturday afternoon. EMU leads the all-time series, which dates back to 1988, 2-0.
Most recently, the Green and White knocked off the Bonnies 75-56 Dec. 9, 2016, inside the Convocation Center. Micah Robinson led all scorers with a game-high 21 points, while Sheyna Deans and Phillis Webb added 16 and 14 points, respectively.
AGAINST THE A-10: EMU holds a 6-8 record against the Atlantic-10 in 14 meetings all-time. The Eagles have battled six of the 14 teams in the Newport News, Va.-based league, with the most common opponent being Dayton. The Green and White are winless in six games with the Flyers, while EMU also trails in the series with Davidson (0-1). On the flip side, Eastern holds the edge in the all-time series with St. Louis (1-0), Duquesne (1-0), St. Bonaventure (2-0), and Massachusetts (2-1).
COMMON BONDS: Despite the distance, Eastern Michigan and St. Bonaventure have their fair share of ties. EMU Compliance Associate Dr. Michael Paciorek graduated from SBU with a B.S. degree in physical education in 1975. During his time in Olean, N.Y., Paciorek was a member of the varsity baseball and ice hockey squads.
On the St. Bonaventure side of things, Bonnies' second-year Head Coach Jesse Fleming will welcome a familiar foe to the Reilly Center. Prior to making the jump to head coach, Fleming had a four-year stint on Jennifer Roos' staff as the associate head coach of Bowling Green State University.
A WIN WOULD...: With a win, the Eagles would be 3-1 on the year and off to their best start since the 2015-16 season. That season, Eastern opened the year 4-1 en route to a Women's Basketball Invitational appearance.
NO NEED FOR WINDEX, THE EAGLES ARE HERE!: Eastern Michigan has cleaned up on the glass through the first three games of the season, outrebounding opponents 143-106 (+12.4). Not only have the Eagles been the top rebounding team in the MAC, EMU also ranks 12th in the country in total rebounds, 40th in rebounds per game (47.67), and 47th in rebounding margin (+12.4).
DANIELLE'S EMU DEBUT: Redshirt junior Danielle Minott made her long awaited EMU debut, Nov. 16, against Cleveland State. After transferring to EMU from Syracuse and sitting out all of last season due to NCAA transfer rules, Minott was sidelined with an injury for Eastern's first two games of the season. The Miami, Fla. native registered 19 points, the most by an Eagle this season, on 7-of-19 shooting, including a 5-of-11 mark from three-point land in her first game donning the Green and White. She also added nine rebounds and a steal against the Vikings in a stat-stuffing effort.
ROAD TRIP TROUBLES: The Green and White are in search of its first win away from the Convocation Center since beating Incarnate Word 66-47 in San Antonio, Texas, Nov. 29, 2016. Since knocking off UIW, the Eagles have lost 12 consecutive road games.
DIALING IN FROM LONG DISTANCE: Danielle Minott connected on five three-pointers against Cleveland State, Nov. 16, the most by an Eagle since Phillis Webb drilled dive against Akron, Jan. 28, 2017. Additionally, it was the most by an Eagle on the road since Sasha Dailey hit seven triples at Incarnate Word, Nov. 29, 2016.
MAC STAT LEADERS: Eastern Michigan has positioned itself near the top of the conference in several statistical categories through the first three games of the season. Take a look at where the Eagles stack up in the MAC as of Nov. 17...

RACKING UP THE FREQUENT FLYER MILES: The Eagles will soar from coast-to-coast this season, racking up a total of 12,256 miles traveled. EMU's longest trip of the season is a trek to Los Angeles for Thanksgiving, a round-trip of 4,544 miles. The Green and White's trip to California is 1,000 miles more than the mileage the Eagles will wrap up in a combined nine conference road trips.
OH, THE PLACES WE WILL GO: Eastern Michigan will make stops in seven different states this season, including Michigan, Ohio, New York, California, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana. Eastern's most popular destination is the Buckeye State, where the Green and White will play a total of five contests.
PACK YOUR BAGS!: After opening the season at home with games against Florida A&M and Rochester, Eastern Michigan hit the road for a 10-game 37-day long road trip, spanning from Nov. 13-Dec. 20. It is believed to be the longest road trip in all of NCAA Division I women's basketball.
WORKING TOWARDS THE 1000-POINT CLUB: Senior Sasha Dailey stands 139 points short of the 1,000-point mark in her final season donning the Green and White. Dailey amassed 855 points for her career through her first three seasons, and has scored 16 points so far this year. If Dailey eclipses four-digits, she will become the 22nd player in program history to score at least 1,000 points during their career.
ON THE HORIZON: Eastern Michigan will spend Thanksgiving on the West Coast, as EMU continues its cross-country road trip, Nov. 24-25, at the LMU Thanksgiving Classic in Los Angeles, Calif. There, Eastern will play Denver and Loyola Marymount.
