LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team heads to the University of Arkansas-Little Rock for the First Tee Invitational at the prestigious Chenal Country Club Monday and Tuesday, March 28-29. The classic will begin at 8 a.m. CT Monday on the par 72, 7,326-yard course.
Besides EMU and the host Trojans, other teams in the field include: Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Lipscomb, Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Nebraska-Omaha, Oral Roberts, Southern Mississippi, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee-Martin, Tulsa and Xavier.
The squads will play two rounds on Monday and single round on Tuesday, which will also begin at 8 a.m.
EMU last took part in the event during the 2011-12 campaign when the squad finished in eighth-place with a two-day tally of 917 (297-304-316). Derek East picked up a top-20 finish with a 224 (74-74-76) in a tied for 12th.
