SAN ANTONIO, Texas (EMUEagles.com) -- Looking to snap a three-game losing skid, the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team wraps up a five-game road trip Tuesday evening, Nov. 29, against the University of Incarnate Word at 5:30 p.m. CT.
EMU closes out its time in the Lonestar State after stumbling to a 0-2 record at the UTSA Thanksgiving Classic over the weekend. The Eagles dropped a 62-50 contest to Tulane before a four-point play by Northern Colorado with eight seconds remaining stunned the Green and White, 58-57. Meanwhile, UIW returns to the hardwood in search of its first win of the season after falling, 79-46, at the hands of Utah State.
Neither WEMU nor Eagle All-Access made the trip to Texas to broadcast EMU's time in San Antonio. Fans wanting to follow the Eagles can find live stats links at UIWCardinals.com.

DAILEY PICKS UP ALL-TOURNAMENT HONORS: After averaging 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals over the past two games, junior Sasha Dailey was named to the UTSA Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament team. Dailey led the way offensively in both games, while also posting a team-high five steals.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING: Tuesday night's contest pits the Eagles against the Cardinals of Incarnate Word for the first time in program history. In fact, Eastern Michigan has tangled with a Southland Conference squad four times previously, and holds a 2-2 record against the Frisco, Texas based league. EMU topped New Orleans and Lamar in lone meetings, but has fallen short against Abilene Christian and McNeese State.

THIRD QUARTER WOES: The third quarter has been a struggle for the Eagles through the first six games of the season, especially offensively, where the Green and White have been outscored 120-95. The Eagles are shooting 32.0 percent from the field, compared to their opponents 42.7 field goal percentage in the frame. When excluding EMU's game against Ferris State, Eastern is connecting on just 29.8 percent of its shots in the quarter against NCAA Division I institutions. Meanwhile, DI opponents have knocked down 40-of-86 shots for a 46.5 field goal percentage.

DIALING IN FROM LONG DISTANCE: Since knocking down a season-best 40.0 percent of their shots from beyond the arc in their season opener, the Eagles have struggled from long range. In the four games following its season opener, EMU shot no better than 21.1 percent from three-point range in game this season. In Sunday's setback against Northern Colorado, the Green and White drilled a season-high seven triples, while shooting at a 38.9 clip from downtown. Sasha Dailey converted three treys, while Esabelle Levine went 2-of-3 from distance and Micah Robinson and Tori Easley converted  one apiece.

RACKING UP THE REJECTIONS: Through the first four games, the Eagles have registered 22 blocks, a mark that ranks them top in the league and 95th nationally. The Green and White average 3.7 rejections per game, a mark that would rank tied for third all-time if the Eagles can keep up that pace this season.

ROAD WARRIORS: Eastern Michigan opens the season with just one home game in its first seven contests. Since beginning play in 1976-77, EMU holds a 207-290 record when playing away from its home court. This season, the Green and White are 1-4 in games away from Ypsilanti.

RUNNIN' THE FLOOR: Through three games, the Eagles have showcased their ability to get out in transition and take advantage of numbers, as EMU has outscored opponents 59-28 in fastbreak points this season.

ROBINSON EMBRACING HER NEW ROLE: After spending her first two seasons serving as the Eagles back-up point guard and amassing just 376 minutes of playing time, Micah Robison has embraced her new role in her junior season. Taking on the responsibilities of the Green and White's primary ball handler, Robinson has thrived while starting all six of Eastern's games this season. Averaging a team-high 36.5 minutes per game, Robinson has scored 63 points, 20 more than her career point total coming into the season. Additionally, the Ann Arbor product has posted career-highs in free throws made (19), field goals (21), and rebounds (36).

SPARKING THE EAGLES OFF THE BENCH: Junior Sasha Dailey has been lights out this season, coming off the bench for the Eagles. Dailey is averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, two steals, and just under an assist per game through EMU's first four contests. The Toledo, Ohio native has led the Eagles to a 115-95 advantage in bench scoring.

A LOOK AT THE CONFERENCE LEADERS: Eastern Michigan has positioned itself near the top of multiple statistical categories in the Mid-American Conference as of Nov. 28. Let's take a look...

CASHING IN ON SECOND CHANCE OPPORTUNITIES: The Eagles have totaled 179 rebounds through three games, including 67 boards that came on the offensive end of the floor. EMU has made the most of its second chance opportunities, cashing them in for 55 points.

CLIMBING THE RANKS: Senior Phillis Webb came into her final season ranked 21st in Eastern Michigan history with 509 rebounds. This season, Webb has grabbed 41 boards, moving her into 20th-place with 550 caroms. Nikki Knapp holds the program record with 802 career rebounds, while Webb is one board behind Traci Parsons for 19th-place on the all-time list.

LAST TIME OUT: Fourteen seconds remained in the Eagles' final game of the UTSA Thanksgiving Classic Sunday afternoon, Nov. 27, with the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team clinging to a three-point lead, 57-54, and the University of Northern Colorado inbounding the ball following a timeout. After the inbound, UNC's Savannah Smith drilled a three-pointer and was fouled with eight seconds to go. Smith sank the pressure-packed free throw attempt to put the Bears up a point. Eastern had a chance to still for redemption, but junior Micah Robinson's shot was off target, as Northern Colorado escaped with the 58-57 victory.
Junior Sasha Dailey led the way for the Eagles as three players scored more than 10-points. Dailey reached double figures for the sixth consecutive game, finishing with a team-high 16 points en route to earning all-tournament honors. Senior Sheyna Deans posted 14 points and eight rebounds, while Robinson finished with a well rounded 11 points, six rebounds and six assists.

ON THE HORIZON: Following its Tuesday night tilt against Incarnate Word, Eastern returns home for some time off before clashing with the University of Detroit Mercy, Dec. 6, at the Convocation Center. The Tuesday evening contest is slated for 7 p.m. and is the first of a three-game home set for the Green and White.
