ROCHESTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team returns to action this weekend, Nov. 12, when it hits the road for a non-conference dual against Oakland University.

Saturday's dual marks the 12th time since the 2005-06 season that the Eagles and Golden Grizzlies will square off. EMU holds a 7-4 edge in the series, and has won the past three meetings. Most recently, Eastern topped Oakland, 180.5-119.5 at Jones Natatorium, Nov. 7, 2015. Andrew Henry and Marcin Rzyski combined for five first place finishes as the Eagles topped the Golden Grizzlies,

The Green and White enter the weekend coming off of a three-week break from competition after defeating Denison, 191-104, Oct. 22. In that meet, the Eagles won 15-of-16 events to earn the victory. Pacing Eastern Michigan were sophomores Tosh Kawaguchi (Cary, N.C.-Cary) and Jake Tyson (Ipswich, England-Northgate) and, freshman Matthew Tsenkov (Sofia, Bulgaria-General Vladimir Stoychev), who picked up two wins apiece. Kawaguchi swept the backstroke events for the second consecutive meet, while Tyson added wins in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Tsenkov bested the field in the breaststroke, winning both the 100 and 200 breast.

Action in Rochester is slated to begin at 1 p.m. Live results for the meet can be found here.
