White in Third After Two Days at the Golfweek Conference Challenge

Brett White is six-under after a pair of rounds at Spirit Hollow Golf Club
BURLINGTON, Iowa (EMUEagles.com) – After two rounds of play at the Golfweek Conference Challenge from the par-72, 7,301-yard Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington, Iowa, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team sits in eighth place with a team score of three-over par, Sept. 26. Individually, Brett White (Caledonia, Mich.-East Kentwood) leads the Eagles with a two-round score of six-under par.
White shot a low round for EMU on Saturday with a two-under 70. Currently, the Caledonia, Mich. native sits in third place overall, trailing Iowa's Raymond Knoll by five strokes for first place. Overall, White has recorded a six-under, 138 (68-70).
As a team, the Green and White sits in eighth place, with a team score of 569 (292-287)
Philippe Weppernig (Lucerne, Switzerland-Kantonsschule Alpenquai Luzern (Owens C.C.)) recorded an even par 72, putting him at one-over on the weekend with a 145 (73-72). Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) and Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario-Highland Secondary) each sit at four-over par for the tournament. Rodes went one-under on Saturday, while Ross shot a two-over, 74. Joey Kremer (Toronto, Ontario-Senator O'Connor) was the final participant for the Eagles, scoring a 77, one score better than his round on Friday.
Iowa has a nine-stroke lead over all other teams, posting a 19-under after combining both days for a 557 (284-273). North Carolina State dropped their first place lead from the day before, shooting a 295, following a 269 on the opening day of the challenge.
