Men's Golf Set for GolfWeek Conference Challenge

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team continues its fall season, Sept. 25-27, as it heads to Burlington, Iowa for the Golfweek Conference Challenge, hosted by the University of Iowa. The invitational will be held on the par-72, 7,360-yard Spirit Hollow Golf Course with the Eagles playing one round on each of the three days.
This will be the second consecutive year the Green and White has taken part in the event. Last season, EMU finished eighth with a three-round total of 896 (293-300-303).
There will be 15 teams from 15 different conferences competing at the 2015 Golfweek's Conference Challenge, including: Army (Patriot), Charleston Southern (Big South, Eastern Michigan (MAC), Furman (SoCon), Idaho (Big Sky), Iowa (Big Ten), Kansas State (Big 12), Long Beach State (Big West), LSU (SEC), North Carolina State (ACC), Pacific (WCC), San Jose State (Mountain West), Southern Illinois (MVC), SMU (AAC) and VCU (A-10).
EMU will tee off at 9 a.m. CT on both Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26, while the final round on Sunday, Sept. 27, is set an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start.
The Eagles will look to improve upon their 10th-place finish at the Fighting Irish Golf Classic, while sophomore Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary) hopes to pace the Green and White for the second-straight showing after tying for second overall in Notre Dame, Sept. 21-22.
