Varsity Four Takes Home Petite Championship Crown

THe Varsity Four team nabbed a first-place finish
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University rowing team completed the 2015 Mid-American Collegiate Rowing Association Championships (MACRA) Saturday, April 25.
The Eagles took home one championship on the day with the Varsity Four Squad crossing the line in 8:39.50 to take home the petite championship win. The Green and White finished over 40 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
The Second Varsity Eight team placed third overall with a time of 8:30.70, a mere 23 seconds behind the champion, Drake, who finished in 8:07.00.
Finally, in the race for the J. Clarke Wray Cup, EMU placed third overall with a time of 7:46.60, while champions, GVSU crossed the line in 7:36.00.
The Eagles will take a two-week break before heading to the Colonial Athletic Association championships, May 17.
