Athletes Selected For The Inaugural List

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference announced its inaugural rowing Academic All-MAC selections at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season Tuesday, June 16. Eastern Michigan University had 14 student-athletes honored for their success off the water.
 
To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and transfers in their first season are ineligible.
 
The Eagles selected include Stella Balcom, Gabby Charvat, Sydney Junkans, Ellie Latunski, Abbi Lauth, Elora Luton, Julia Maxwell, Campbell Moore, Kendall Moore, Bryah Moriarty, Tatum Nettle, Natalie Prairie, Lauren Tompkins, and Abigail Zola.
 
Balcom (Cadillac, Mich./Cadillac), a junior, competed with the Eagles in the first-ever Mid-American Conference Women's Rowing Championship, May 16 as part of the 2V8+ boat, placing fourth. She was named a College Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete twice alongside her first Academic All-MAC award..
 
Charvat (Three Rivers, Mich./Three Rivers), a junior, competed primarily with the 1V8+ throughout the season. Charvat was named twice to the CRCA Scholar-Athlete award list before being selected Academic All-MAC.
 
Junkans (Prairie Farm, Wis./Prairie Farm), a junior competing with the Eagles, takes her first Academic All-MAC Selection. A two-time CRCA Scholar-Athlete, Junkans was a key contributor for EMU last season, rowing with the 1V8+ boat.
 
Latunski (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Central), a junior, competed with the 1V8+ boat throughout the season. Latunski takes home her third academic award: one Academic All-MAC and two CRCA Scholar-Athlete awards.
 
Lauth (Grosse Ile, Mich./Grosse Ile), a junior, is named to the Academic All-MAC list after being awarded her second-consecutive CRCA Scholar-Athlete award and one of two EMU players named All-MAC Second team. One of the Eagles top performers, Lauth was a key fixture on the 1V8+ lineup during the 2025-26 season.
 
Luton (Ypsilanti, Mich./Early College Alliance), a sophomore, takes her first Academic All-MAC selection after rowing primarily with the 1V4+ boat during the season.
 
Maxwell (Romulus, Mich./Romulus), a senior, rowed with the 3V8+ boat that took silver at the first-ever MAC Women's Rowing Championship, May 16. This is her second time being named to an academic postseason honor, after being named to the 2023 Coastal Athletic Association Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll as a sophomore.
 
Campbell Moore (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley), a sophomore, takes her first postseason honor after rowing primarily with the 3V8+. She was part of the boat that took silver at the MAC Women's Rowing Championship, May 16.
 
Kendall Moore (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley), a sophomore, is named to the Academic All-MAC list after rowing with the 3V8+ alongside her sister, Campbell. She also rowed with the 3V8+ that took silver at the MAC Women's Rowing Championship, May 16.
 
Moriarty (Christchurch, New Zealand/Burnside), a junior, is listed Academic All-MAC after earning her second-straight CRCA Scholar-Athlete award and a Second-Team All-MAC selection. One of the most powerful rowers on the roster, Moriarty led the 1V8+ boat throughout the season in the stroke.
 
Nettle (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy), a junior, is honored with her first postseason award after rowing at the cox for the 1V8+ boat during the season.
 
Prairie (Clifton, Ill./Bishop McNamara Catholic), a junior, earns her Academic All-MAC selection alongside her second CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award. A crucial power rower on the team, Prairie helped lead the 1V8+ boat close to the stern during the season.
 
Tompkins (Delaware, Ohio/Rutherford B. Hayes), a junior, brings home her first Academic All-MAC selection. Tompkins rowed primarily with the 2V8+ during the regular season.
 
Zola (Grand Forks, N.D./Red River), a senior, is named Academic All-MAC after being honored as a CRCA Scholar-Athlete for the third-straight season. Zola headed the 2V8+ boat as the stroke throughout the season.
