Men's Golf to Compete in FAU Slomin Autism Invite

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team will travel south to Lake Worth, Fla. to participate in the three-day FAU Slomin Autism Invitational on the par 71, 6,876 yard Fountains Country Club North Course. The tournament is hosted by Florida Atlantic University.
The 20-team field will play 18 holes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Live hole-by-hole scoring will be available at www.GolfStat.com. The tournament field will include, Arkansas St., Bethune-Cookman, Central Florida, Connecticut, DePaul, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgetown, Hartford, Jacksonville State (Ala.), Middle Tenn. State, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Illinois, Rhode Island, St. John's, Stetson and Xavier.
EMU last played in the tournament during the 2010-11 season when the tournament was known as the FAU Spring Break Championship, March 25-27. Nick Carbary led the Eagles with a 223 (80-73-70) in a tie for 40th-place as the team finished in 16th after carding a 930 (316-305-309).
Eastern Michigan's lineup at the FAU Slomin Autism will be Michael Blair (Ancaster, Ontario, Canada-Nelson-Pfeiffer), Brett White (Caledonia, Mich.-East Kentwood), Nicholas Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary), Jared Multer (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview-Grand Rapids C.C.) and Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth).
