Women’s Golf Wraps Up the Fall Campaign in Little Rock

Eagles will be a part of the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic at Diamante Country Club
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team closes its fall season Sunday-Tuesday, Nov. 1-3, when the Eagles travel to south for annual Little Rock Women's Golf Classic. The three-day, 54-hole event hosted by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will be played on the par-72, 6,167-yard layout at Diamante Country Club.
In addition to EMU, the field includes Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, Little Rock, ULM, UMKC, Missouri State, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston, South Alabama, Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, Western Michigan and Wichita State.
The weekend begins with a practice round Saturday before the first round of 18 begins with tee times on Sunday at 8 a.m. Tee times on Monday will start at 9 a.m., and the third and final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The event will be played in fall season for the first time in its eight-year history. EMU's Stephany Fleet finished as the runner-up at the 2009 event with a 222 (75-71-76), March 30-31.
Playing for EMU will be junior Kelsey Murphy (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth), sophomore Thelma Beck (Baden, France-Lycee Sainte Anne), redshirt senior Karyn Lee Ping (Brampton, Ontario, Canada-St. Augustine Secondary School), freshman Kritsuda Apiwatthanadol (Bangkok, Thailand-Somtawin Witead Suska Huaymongkhon School) and redshirt senior Lauren Stephens (Dublin, Ohio-Coffman-Toledo).
