MURFEESBORO, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team heads south to the annual Blue Raider Invitational this Monday through Tuesday, Oct. 19-20. The fifth annual tournament will be played at Old Fort Golf Club, a par-72, 6,389-yard layout.

The 54-hole event will consist of 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days will have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

This year's field features 16 other teams, including Arkansas State, Austin Peay State, Belmont, Boston College, Central Arkansas, Jacksonville State, Little Rock, Murray State,  South Alabama, Troy, Tennessee Tech, UMKC, UTEP, UT Rio Grande Valley, Western Kentucky and host Middle Tennessee.

Playing for EMU will be junior Kelsey Murphy (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth), sophomore Thelma Beck (Baden, France-Lycee Sainte Anne), redshirt senior Karyn Lee Ping (Brampton, Ontario, Canada-St. Augustine Secondary School), redshirt senior Lauren Stephens (Dublin, Ohio-Coffman-Toledo) and freshman Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval).

EMU has never previously played in the tournament.
