Men's Track and Field Set for Jesse Owens and Mt. SAC

Eagles will compete in two venues over the weekend
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University's men's track and field team is ready to take on the annual Jesse Owens Track Classic, hosted by Ohio State University Friday-Saturday, April 18-19. Meanwhile, a duo of Eagles in Grzegorz Kalinowski (Torun, Poland-Nicolaus Copernicus University) and Tyler Brown (Findlay, Ohio-Findlay) will head to the West Coast for the illustrious Mt. SAC Relays, hosted by Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif.
Friday's competition will begin in California, when Kalinowski will take part in the 1500m run at 11:45 a.m. PDT. Following his appearance, Brown will take the track for a double slate in the 400m and 200m at 1:18 p.m. and 4:05 p.m., respectively. Live results will be available through Flash Results West.
Back in the Eastern time zone, the Jesse Owens Classic will kick off at 4 p.m. with the discus throw, followed by the javelin throw at 6:30 p.m.. The running events will also begin under the lights with the 5000m at 7:50 p.m. Finish Timing will provide live results from Jesse Owens Memorial Track. The Green and White will return to action Saturday, April 19, beginning on the field with the pole vault at 10 a.m.
