Men's Golf Travels to the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team returns to the road this weekend, traveling to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate, March 23-25. The 54-hole event will feature 27 teams in the field playing 18 holes each of the three days at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course. The course will be set up for a par of 70 and 6,765 yards.
Teams participating include: Appalachian State, Binghamton, Boston College, Bucknell, Dayton, Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Fairleigh Dickinson, George Mason, Georgetown, IPFW, James Madison, Longwood, Loyola (Ill.), Loyola (Md.), Miami (Ohio), Penn State, Radford, Rutgers, St. Joseph's, Temple, Texas Tech, Towson, UNC Greensboro, William & Mary and Wright State.
The tournament will consist of 54 holes played Sunday through Tuesday with live scoring available at GolfStat.com.
Due to snow last year, the tournament was declared final after the first round was completed. EMU's Casey Olsen and Notre Dame's Cory Sciupider finished tied for the top spot after a three-under par 67. The Eagles finished fourth overall, just three strokes behind No. 27 Tennessee at 285.
