Eastern will travel to New Braunfels, Texas for the invitational held by Texas State

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team heads to New Braunfels, Texas, to participate in the Jim West Challenge, Feb. 17-18, hosted by Texas State University. The 15 team, 54-hole tournament will take place at the par 71, 6,178-yard Bandit Golf Club course.
This is the Eagles first time out in 2014 as they look to start out strong in the second half of the 2013-14 campaign.
The 15 teams competing will include No. 57 Texas State, No. 60 Gonzaga, No. 78 Cal State Fullerton, No. 106 Colorado State, No. 107 Ball State, No. 119 Boise State, No. 130 New Mexico State, No. 132 Eastern Michigan, No. 139 UALR, No. 145 BYU, No. 148 Boston College, No. 151 Missouri State, No. 155 Montana, No. 185 UTEP and the University of the Incarnate Word.
The tournament will begin Monday at 8:15 a.m. CT. It will be a shotgun start on Monday followed immediately by a second round. Tuesdays final round will also be a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. CT.
