KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University senior women's golfer Lois Schoof (Amsterdam, Netherlands-Univ. of Amsterdam) carded a second round 73 and remains in fourth-place heading into the final round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Turtle Point Golf Course, Oct. 27. Schoof opened the tournament with a career-low 70 in the field of 104 golfers.

As a team, the Eagles are in 12th-place with a team day total of 608 (302-306), fourth strokes behind the host Cougars of the College of Charleston and the Bucs of East Tennessee State University in 10th.  Coastal Carolina University continued to lead the tournament at 572 (282-290) while GRU Augusta is in second at 584 (288-296).  CofC's CC Buford fired a second round 68 to jump to the top of the individual leader board with a five-under 139 (71-68).

Sophomore Kelsey Murphy (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) is tied for 39th-place with a 152 (79-73), while freshman Thelma Beck (Baden, France-Lycee Sainte Anne) resides in a tie for 52nd-place with a 154 (75-79). Freshman classmate  Kylie Raines (Dublin, Ohio-Dublin Coffman)is tied for 79th with a 159 (78-81). Redshirt-junior Lauren Stephens (Dublin, Ohio-Coffman-Toledo) rounded out the lineup with a 166 (85-81) in 94th-place.

Play concludes for Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 8:45 a.m.
