Eagles Host EMU Fall Classic

Men's cross country tunes up before 2014 MAC Championship
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University's men's cross country team has had a successful season leading up to the 2014 Mid-American Conference Championship, and will compete in one more race before heading to Mount Pleasant, Mich. next week. The Eagles will stay at home to host the annual EMU Fall Classic Friday, Oct. 24 in Dexter, Mich.
The Eagles will be up against athletes from Calvin College, Cleary, Kalamazoo College, Michigan, Michigan State, Oakland, Roberts Wesleyan, and Saginaw Valley. In addition to multiple EMU alumni competing unattached in the non-scored event, the 5,000-meter race will also feature former EMU and U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Hall of Fame head coach Bob Parks to fire the gun at the beginning of both competitions.
The EMU Fall Classic will be held at Hudson Mills Metro Park, with the women's race beginning at 4 p.m. and the men following shortly after at 4:30 p.m. A $5 parking fee per car will be instituted to any spectators that will be in attendance.
