Eagles In Ninth After 36 Holes at Sagamore Fall Preview

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team sits in ninth place after 36 holes at the 14-team Sagamore Fall Preview on the par 72, 7,173-yard Sagamore Golf Club course. Sophomore Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) paced the Eagles with a second round 69 for an eighth-place tie at 144 (75-69).
Playing on the site of 2015 NCAA Noblesville Regional, the Eagles pieced together back-to-back rounds of 302 to finish at 28-over par 604. However, EMU is just 14 shots behind Northern Illinois (289-301=590), which sits in third place. No. 1-ranked Illinois (284-286=570) and No. 8-ranked Auburn (280-298=578) are in first and second, respectively.
Senior Michael Blair (Ancaster, Ontario, Canada-Nelson-Pfeiffer) posted consecutive rounds of 76 for a 152 in 38th-place while junior Brett White (Caledonia, Mich.-East Kentwood) and freshman Nicholas Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary) are tied for 49th with a 154. Junior Jared Multer (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview-Grand Rapids C.C.) rounded out the EMU lineup with rounds of 77 and 81 for 61st-place with a 158.
Eastern Michigan will tee off the final round at 8:30 a.m. off hole No. 1, and is paired with Indiana and Purdue.
