YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team will travel to University Park, Pa. for the 37th Annual Nittany Lion Invitational, Sept. 27-29, at the Penn State Golf Course. The Blue Course will be set at par 72 and 6,263 yards.

The teams will begin play on Friday with a 11:15 a.m. start. On Saturday, the format will call for tee times beginning at 9 a.m. and then a final round shotgun start on Sunday.

Along with the Eagles, other teams in the tournament field include: Akron, Bucknell, Columbia, Georgetown, Kent State, Longwood, Ohio, Old Dominion, Penn State, Rutgers, Western Michigan, William & Mary and Yale.

EMU last participated in the event during the 2011-12 campaign, when the Green and White won the weather-shortened tournament, Sept. 30-Oct.2. The final round was cancelled due to unplayable conditions on the course.  The Eagles carded a 297 on day two to surge to the front of the 15-team field, posting a team score of 597 (300-297).

Live scoring for the tournament will be available via golfstat.com and a full recap with results will be posted following each round on EMUEagles.com.
