YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team is in 12th place after two rounds at the Boilermaker Invitational Saturday, April 20. The Eagles shot a 34-over par 610 (308-302) at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex's Kampen Course. The final round is set to start at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, April 21.
Freshman Brett White led the Eagles on Saturday, sitting in a tie for 27th, after shooting a 149 (78-71). Senior Casey Olsen is tied for 41st with an eight-over par 152 (76-76). Freshman Stuart Grehan shot a 74 and a n 80 and is tied for 46th at 10-over par 154. Also in the lineup for EMU, senior Spencer Slade is tied for 58th with a 12-over par 156 (80-76) and junior Brian Churchill-Smith is tied for 85th at 166 (87-79).
Iowa is atop the leaderboard after 36 holes at 1-over par 577, and is six shots ahead of No. 34 Illinois. The Hawkeyes' Joseph Winslow is first individually at 4-under par 140.
