MU will return to action on Friday, May 3, when the Eagles travel to the Mid-American Conference Championship

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team wrapped up a 13th-place showing at the Boilermaker Invitational Sunday with a final round 304. The Eagles finished the two-day event with a total of 914 (308-302-304) on the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex's Kampen Course.
Freshman Brett White wrapped up a strong tournament with a 75 to remain in a tie for 27th in the final standings with a 224 (78-71-75). Stuart Grehan grabbed a share of 37th place with a 227 (74-80-73).
Spencer Slade shot a 233 (80-76-77) to finish the tournament in a tie for 62nd place. Rounding out the rotation, Casey Olsen and Brian Churchill-Smith finished with a 234 and a 245, respectively.
Iowa and Louisville tied for the team title at 14-over par 878, finishing two shots ahead of Illinois. The Hawkeyes' Steven Ihm and the Cardinals' Robin Sciot-Siegrist also tied for the top spot individually with totals of five-under par 211.
Following a week off, EMU will return to action on Friday, May 3, when the Eagles travel to the Mid-American Conference Championship hosted by Ohio University at Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. The three-day event will run through Sunday, May 5.
