Men's Golf Readies for USF Invitational

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — After a third place showing the last time out at MAC Match Play Championship, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf returns to the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club to compete in the USF Invitational, March 3-5.

The Eagles are joined in the team lineup by Cincinnati, DePaul, Florida State, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Louisville, Marquette, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina State, Rice, South Carolina, South Florida, Troy, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The 54-hole event begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning with a shotgun start. The teams will play18 holes each day and conclude competition on Tuesday, March 5, with the final round at 8 a.m. The event is free to the pubic.

Last year, the Eagles finished the three-day event with a team score of 888 (296-293-299) in eighth place.  UCF won the team title with a total score of 854, finishing six strokes ahead of Georgia.  Brian Churchill-Smith was the top EMU finisher with a 218 (73-70-75) in a tie for 19th place.
