-- This week on Eagle All-Access, Eastern Michigan University freshman Madison Hirsch (Troy, Mich.-Troy) joins the broadcast for another EMU soccer edition of "Getting to Know an Eagle."

The EMU midfielder has appeared in 10 games in her first season donning the green and white. The Troy, Mich. native scored the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win against Toledo, Sept. 29, notching the first goal of her EMU career. As the first half was coming to a close, Cara Cutaia (Burlington, Ontario-Notre Dame Catholic) sent a cross into the box where it would connect with Hirsch's head and into the net in what would prove to be the deciding goal in the contest. Hirsch recorded her first collegiate point in a 5-1 victory over Stetson, Sept. 20, when she used a free kick to find teammate Megan Trapp (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) in the box.

Attending Troy High School, Hirsch was a two-time all-state performer while also earning all-district, all-county and all-league accolades her final three seasons. She led her team to the MHSAA state finals during the 2011 and 2012 soccer seasons before winning the 2013 state championship to close our her high school career.

Hirsch and the Eagles return to Ypsilanti for two more Mid-American Conference contests next weekend, hoping to build on their current six game winning streak. EMU hosts Ball State Friday afternoon, Oct. 11, at 4 p.m., before facing MAC East Division-leading Miami University Sunday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m.
