ESPN3 To Televise the Eastern Michigan-Western Michigan Game

The battle for the Michigan MAC Trophy begins in Ypsilanti
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan-Western Michigan football game, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, will kick off at 1 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPN3, the Mid-American Conference office announced today, Oct. 28.
Created in 2005 by the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, EMU will look to hold on to the Michigan MAC Trophy, the annual award given to the best MAC team in the state of Michigan. Last year, the Eagles recorded a 29-23 victory over WMU in Kalamazoo, Nov. 17, 2012. With EMU, CMU and WMU all going 1-1 against each other last season, Eastern was able to retain the trophy after claiming the honor during the 2011 season.
Eastern will also seek three consecutive victories against Western for the first time since rattling off three straight wins in the series from 1989-1991.
