Getting to Know an Eagle: EMU Soccer's Madi Criner

The EMU freshman joins Eagle All-Access for this week's edition
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- This week on Eagle All-Access, Eastern Michigan University freshman Madi Criner (Moscow, Idaho-Moscow) joins the broadcast for another EMU soccer edition of "Getting to Know an Eagle."
The EMU defender made her first career appearance donning the Green and White against Indiana State, Sept. 22, helping the Eagles shutout the Sycamores, 4-0. Prior to arriving on campus, Criner led Moscow High School to a district championship in her senior season. As a junior in high school, she claimed defensive player of the year honors.
Madi is the daughter of EMU Assistant Football/Linebackers Coach Mark Criner. As a biology major, Criner hopes to become a zoologist someday.
Criner and the rest of the Eagles (5-4-1, 2-0-0 MAC) will look to continue their winning ways, hitting the road for two conference games. EMU takes on Bowling Green State University, Oct. 4, for a 7 p.m. kickoff under the lights before traveling north to face rival Central Michigan University for a Sunday afternoon contest, Oct. 6, set to begin at 1 p.m.
