Eagles to run in Michigan Intercollegiate Cross Country Meet, Oct. 11
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University's men's cross country team will travel to Hillsdale, Mich. Friday, Oct. 11 to take part in the Michigan Intercollegiate Cross Country Meet, hosted by Hillsdale College.
The Eagles are expected to have 10 harriers compete against athletes from 16 other Michigan-based schools, including Big Ten Conference member Michigan State. The last time the Green and White made an appearance at the annual meet, it took second place behind then-host university Oakland in 2010.
"The Michigan Intercollegiate at Hillsdale is a competitive opportunity for our athletes to enhance their position for selection for the Mid-American Conference Championships," explained Head Coach John Goodridge.
Friday's meet will mark the third 8,000-meter race of the 2013 campaign. The meet is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. in Hayden Park.
