Men's Cross Country Runs Friday at Toledo Inter-Regional Bubble Buster

Eagles to face-off against nationally ranked competition
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University Men's Cross Country team will travel to Toledo on Friday, September 21st to take part in the 2nd Annual Toledo Inter-Regional Bubble Buster hosted by the University of Toledo.
EMU will run against a tough field at the Toledo's Ottawa Park Golf Course, which includes nationally ranked opponents Syracuse (#13) and Columbia (#29). Also competing will be Iowa, Ohio, Charlotte and San Francisco.
Eastern comes off a solid outing at the Spartan Invitational a week ago against some of the top competition in the region. Senior Terefe Ejigu took the individual title for the Eagles for the second consecutive year, and Daryl Smith finished sixth among the field.
"We've trained well since the Spartan Invitational and are looking forward to this weekend's competitive opportunity,” said Head Coach John Goodridge. “The course is outstanding and very challenging."
The men will run at 5:10 followed by the women at 6:10. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the gate.
