RIO VERDE, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University's Shannon Warner (Livonia, Mich.-Livonia Churchill-Michigan State) fired a three-over par 74 and is just three shots off the pace set by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Ryann White after day one of the Rio Verde Invitational.
Akron (305), in only its fourth year as a program and with a senior class that started the program, has a one shot lead over Missouri State and Eastern Michigan at 306.
Pacing the field is the Islanders' Ryann White leads after shooting even par on Friday afternoon.
Saturday's second round begins with a shotgun at 8 a.m. MST.
